76th NSS Festival in Ukhrul: A Celebration of Unity and Culture

For the first time, Pettigrew College in Ukhrul district is hosting the 76th North East NSS Festival. The five-day event is being held from September 24 to 28 under the theme Integrating Youth for Peace and Sustainability.

More than 200 NSS volunteers from across the North East are taking part in the festival, dressed in traditional attire representing their states. The event began with a warm reception for the chief guest and other dignitaries, who were also adorned in traditional wear.

MLA Khashim Vashum inaugurated the festival by and was joined by officials including YAS Secretary Naorem Praveen Singh, Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner Ashish Das, SP Ningsem Vashum, and others

In his address, MLA Khashim Vashum urged the young participants to spread the message of love, unity, and cultural harmony. He said such platforms can help build peace and normalcy in Manipur.
