This is a love story - the coming together of a childless couple and two young orphans to form a family. The couple, the Gavels from Canberra, invited us along on an intensely personal journey as they travelled to Ethiopia to meet their newly adopted children for the very first time. It's a journey to a country ravaged by war, famine and AIDS; a country that has opened its orphan adoption program to Australians, and now sends 40 children here every year.
