Article 110 in the National Electrical Code (NEC) covers general requirements for the examination and approval, installation and use, access to and spaces about electrical conductors and equipment; enclosures intended for personnel entry; and tunnel installations.
This webinar will cover requirements in Part II, 110.26(A) through (E) in the 2020 edition of the NEC. This webinar will also discuss some of the requirements in Part III.
Learning Objectives:
• Explain working space requirements for equipment operating at 1000 volts, nominal, or less to ground and likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized.
• Recall working space provisions pertaining to entrances to and exits from working space.
• Identify the conditions that require personnel doors to be equipped with listed panic hardware or listed fire exit hardware.
• Summarize the dedicated space above and below panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, and motor control centers.
Presenter: Charles R Miller
Charles R. Miller is a master electrician, business owner, author, educator, and talk-show host. Based out of Lebanon, TN, Charles spent eighteen years as a successful business owner and electrical contractor. Since then, he has focused his time and energy on writing and teaching to promote knowledge and proficiency among engineers, electricians, and tradespeople in the field. As an author and illustrator, he has an extensive list of electrical-related publications to his credit, including some published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Miller also sits on two NFPA committees, including the committee for the NFPA 70E standard.
