Can we connect the Bantu theories to the AbeNguni, Abathethwa, and other Bantu groups in Southern Africa?
From Swaziland all the way through KwaZulu-Natal and into the Eastern Cape.
The Nguni family can be found, with very few exceptions, below the interior plateau, between the escarpment of the uKhahlamba mountain barrio and the Indian Ocean.
They stretch out in a broad belt of hundreds of clan units.
Bryant suggests that the first phase of Nguni arrived in Southern Africa around AD 1500.
He states that during this period, the Nguni migrated into the region from the north and northwest, dispersing into separate clans that settled in various localities, many of which still exist today.
According to A. Muzi Mthethwa, around this time, the Mthethwa people arrived at the uBombo mountain range to settle between these mountains and the southeast of Delagoa Bay.
