James Brown seems to be using a Neumann KMS (105, I suspect) when he sings 'It's A Man's World' with Luciano Pavarotti. I found myself thinking that the high frquency lift, sweetness and detail didn't suit Mr. Brown's gritty voice. I thought I'd do a comparison using the Earthworks SR 314 and the Shure SM58... here it is.
