VFR800 is DEAD
Sorry about the wind noise in this video.
My VFR800 seems to be dead. It will not start. The fuel pump does not run when you turn the key and I cannot find the cause of the problem. I have literally exhausted my electrical diagnostic knowledge.
Checked fuses
Replaced all relevant relays
Bypassed each circuit in turn
Checked that the pump works when connected directly (it does)
Cleaned the ECU connectors with switch cleaner
Bypassed the earth wire to the pump
Cleaned the looms earth wire to the chassis
Cleaned the pump spade connectors
Bypassed the the bank angle sensor
Re-seated the ignition coils spade connectors
Re-seated the start / stop switch block connector
While the video was uploading, a courier arrived with the new (second-hand) ECU that i bought on ebay. I have now installed that, but the pump still does not run when I turn the key.
