Uploading all parts (5) of my tiktok series on creating my own Ariana Grande Giambattista Valli dress using black tulle. I included the cost breakdown at the end of the video to get a feel of what it costs to make something like this.
I chose to reimagine the dress in black because i could not get my hands on the exact shade of grey tulle Ariana wears, and because I wanted to have some artistic freedom with the piece. A Majority of the dress is gathered by hand, since I felt that is what helped give the dress the couture look that hers had.
there is a little over 300 yards of Tulle on the dress, and I ran out of tulle twice while making it. I chose to do a corset back instead of zipper but I like the way that appears on the front when it's being worn.
