Maiden Voyage of 19FT home built skin on frame canoe. An experiment in a lightweight boat for faster trips, sit & switch paddling. 24 in max beam, but still stable. Very limited rocker at the tips - hyper straight tracking. 15 kilograms fitted out to paddle - which makes for pleasant portages. Polyester heat shrunk skin coated in varnish. Polyester heat shrunk covers. Wooden stringers. Ribs are heat formed foam core carbon fibre. Carbon fibre/foam core seats. Low profile - so best suited for flatwater! Pleased with the result - cheap way to a fast light boat.
