This is it. Not the feature-length film, nor the 6-part Ken Burns documentary she deserves, but this is it. The start of our coverage of the work we're doing to "THE FIVE." Big Boss Porter. Port of Grays Harbor Porter No 5. A 2-8-2 Mikado, this engine was the workhorse of Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad for decades. Relegated to a dusty back corner, we were told this engine was beyond all help and would never be restored. We're finding out for ourselves.
