Plaque unveiled to General Gordon of Khartoum at his house beside the River Thames. The tablet is unveiled by minister for war minister, Leslie Hore Belisha. The tablet is on side of house, it is covered by a Union Jack flag. It commemorates his life and achievements. Various shots of Mayor of Gravesend, army officers and soldiers and Mr Belisha in gardens of Gordon's house.
Note: title is misleading - it is not a statue but a tablet that is unveiled.
