How do I opt-in to the SteamVR Beta?
Navigate to SteamVR in your Games list on Steam, go to Properties - Betas - Opt-in from Drop-down menu.

How do I opt-in to the Steam Link Beta?
Go to Steam Link in your Horizon App Library on your phone, then scroll down to "More Information". Go to Version Number and tap on the Version itself and select Public Beta from the channel.

Does this work on Quest 2?
Seems to work for people! Just might be less accurate in some ways since the quest 3 uses a depth sensor for accurate tracking.

Can this work over a wired connection?
No, Steam Link only works over wireless. If wireless doesn't run well for you, search up some tutorials on the best way to connect wirelessly for PCVR here on YouTube if you need some guides!
Overall, best practices involve using a dedicated Wifi 6 or 6E router that's hardwired into your PC via ethernet. You connect your current ethernet into that to give it internet access, then that new router into your PC. That way you have a wireless connection that no other devices are using up the bandwidth of.
If that's not possible, look into devices designed for this purpose, such as the Puppis S1 from PrismXR. Just connects by 1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0 in your PC.

How do you move in-game? What keybinds should I use?
Not every game is made equal, sadly. You'll have to do some trial and error until you find the right mix for you. Some games name their game commands in SteamVR, some don't.
Essentially, you just need to open any game you want, and go to "Controller Bindings" to edit them. If your Oculus Controllers are selected, go back one screen, click on the controlelrs to open a menu of all possible controllers, then choose Hand Tracking.
Also check to see if others have shared their Published bindings to save yourself a step.

Can you publish your bindings?
I will eventually, but still finding what works best for me. Don't wanna clutter the bindings feed with combos that aren't ideal for a game.

Does this work in VR Chat?
Yes! Natively, actually. They have keybinds already assigned ready to go. Just open VR Chat and they give you a quick tutorial.

What's the point? Controllers are better.
For now, obviously yes. This is currently a fun gimmick, but a really cool way of expressing yourself in VR and have hand presence.

What? There's already Ultraleap and such.
I'd argue that Ultraleap kind of failed to become popular, honestly. Regardless, that's an extra cost. This is free.
