Channel Shop In this video I show you how to make a wooden space rocket from offcuts of Maple, Mahogany and Oak. A while ago I came up with the idea and construction of the rocket and scribbled it down on a piece of paper and thought it was time to get it made. It involved some woodturning on my cheap lathe which I'm not very experienced at but got there in the end.
I finished the rocket with 3 coats of clear wax.
Approx. dimensions
430mm total length (tail fin to antenna tip)
turned nose cone 80mm long
turned body length 230mm
70mm dia body ends
100mm dia centre of body
65mm hole saw used.
