Background:
The Player is someone who suffers from dementia, every month he goes out to a telephone box to call his close relative. Every time he try's to call them he is suddenly ended up in a place that is between realities. A familiar figure, one who visits him every time he ends up here.
Trying to remember why he is there and who he was calling he simply stares back at the void who stands far from him in the rustling grass.

The more time passes by the more The Player remembers who he was trying to call.

For some reason he never makes the call, but the same events reoccur the next month.

The mod takes place in the universe of Fatal Error, a sentient computer virus whose goal is to escape the digital world and rule all of reality, and features various supporting characters in the Fatalverse.
Fatal Files was announced on July 11, 2022, just days after the cancellation of Vs. Sonic.exe, where Fatal has made his appearance in the song Fatality.
