Pork Cordon Bleu With A Pumpkin Sauce!
A great fall comfort food everyone will love!
Ingredients: Pork Prep:
1 ea Pork loin Chop, Thick cut in half and pounded thin.
Salt for seasoning
Pepper for seasoning
Garlic for seasoning
2 slices Swiss Cheese
1 ea Ham Slice, cooked 1/4 inch thick
2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
Breading:
1 cup Flour
2 ea Eggs, large scrambled
1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
2 Tbsp Butter or Ghee for frying
Pumpkin Sauce:
1 Tbsp Butter
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
3 Tbsp Pumpkin, canned
1 tsp Pumpkin Spice
1 Tbsp Sugar
Instructions:
Cut pork chop in half and pound out to 1/4 inch thick.
Season on both sides with salt, pepper and garlic. Coat
both steaks with mustard. Add cheese to both steaks and
ham on one steak. Sandwich the steaks together. Dredge
in the flour then eggs and then breadcrumbs. In a medium
high hot skillet brown on one side for about 1 minute 30 seconds.
Turnover. Place skillet in a 300F pre-heated oven for 15 minutes.
While pork is cooking make the sauce. Add all the ingredients for the
sauce to a medium low saucepan mix well and turn to just below
simmer and add under and over the pork cordon bleu! Enjoy!
