This hike followed in the footsteps of vikings. They built fire beacons high up in the hills which were lit to warn of invasions coming to the land. A viking king was behind this brilliant defense system of using warning fires. For hundreds of years this ancient defense system was used to warn of foreign attacks and prepare the defense. Join me on a hike up into these Norwegian hills with waterfalls, old growth forest and great views. A great hike to a historical site from the viking age in Telemark, Norway.
