Einstein medical students are bringing their passion for music to children at the Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC), part of Montefiore Einstein. Partnering with physical and occupational therapists, they lead a workshop that uses rhythm and song to foster joy and connection.
This experience is part of Einstein’s service learning program, where every first-year M.D. and M.D./Ph.D. student partners with a community-based organization. The program helps students grow as future physicians while serving and learning from the Bronx community.
In the video, Einstein medical students share how this experience offers them far more than fulfilling a curriculum requirement.
