Sri Shyama Sastri The eldest of the Trinity met a stranger in Pudukotai at the Sannidhi of Goddess Bhrahannayaki. The stranger asked Shyama Shastri to compose on Goddess Meenakshi and asked him to go to have her Darshanam at Madurai. He composed the Navaratna Malika (9 gems) on the Goddess. He went to Madurai and sang them before the Goddess.
This is one of the Navaratnas. In Raga Dhanyasi , Misra Chapu Thala. A classic example of Viloma Chaapu.
