Several viewers have requested this video, and a fascinating study it has been. The ancient civilizations of Meso-America were very creative people, and they were very much into fate and chance. They identified a god for nearly every aspect of life, not the least of which was Macuilxoshitl, the god of games.
The game itself is a race game in the same family as Pachisi and other multi-pawn race games. Movement is determined a handful of binary bits - beans or corn kernels - and the board features spaces with rewards and penalties. It's a fine example of the genre, and fun, too!
