What makes them classic monsters is not just their appearance and thirst for killing, but also their code of honor and strict social rules that they follow. The Predators are a species called the Yautjas that hail from a planet called Yautja Prime. We, humans, oversimplified their names and called them Predators on the basis of the acts they perform. Back on their planet, they are born as a juvenile who grows up to become unblooded. The Unblooded then goes through strict training in hunting and becomes a Young Blood. This Young Blood then embarks on a hunting trip where he has to kill a Xenomorph and mark his head with its acidic blood. This ritualistic hunt transforms young blood into an adult or Blooded Yautja. A Blooded Yautja can later become an Elite and Elder. Like all societies, the Yautja are plagued with rogues and criminals- those who break the code of honor are designated as Bad Bloods.
