I started this jam with just the Volca Keys, experimenting with stacking delays. The Keys is running at 10 BPM and I recorded a sequence (some pretty random notes) in 1/4 tempo mode with flux enabled. When I added the Waldorf 2-Pole, I tried the envelope follower, but soon realised I could also sequence the envelope using CV. So I set up the Beatstep, programmed a sequence, and connected its drum gate 1 CV output to the envelope input of the Waldorf. At 2:38 I turn down the cutoff of the low-pass filter, which is when you start to hear the Waldorf's envelope being triggered. So the filter is closed all the way (minimum cutoff), but it is opened momentarily when the envelope is triggered (max cutoff).
I thought it was interesting to find a combination of low- and high-quality delays with the Volca Keys. The first is the delay of the Volca itself, next is the Thermae, which goes into the Monotron Delay (it's super noisy and I love it because of that). The Monotron goes into the Waldorf 2-Pole, which is connected to the Ventris. I picked the "reverse" reverb mode on the Ventris, and by turning down the diffusion it also sounds like a delay. So that's 4 delays in a row!
For the Volca Sample I loaded a custom sample pack, which contains some great sounds from the "Foley Essentials" sample pack by AK. The FM patch is by Oscillator Sink, it's from his "FM Does Analogue" pack and is called "friendbass".
