You can build the engine without modifying the Cylinder, you will get around 60-100 rpm at 58psi which is very slow. You must also install a larger flywheel, otherwise it will not run. I recommend using one of my modified cylinders, available on my Store - https://greengeckoworkshop.com/pneuma...

This is my First Switchless Pneumatic Engine Design, they are extremely reliable and simple. I have designed normal 1 Cylinder Engines in the past and they have worked great, however this one far succeeds them in every way. The Switchless tube squeezing design allows for higher rpm and less friction. You also can avoid modifying the pneumatic switch, which is a complicated process, modifying the cylinder is easy in comparison. Overall, this is a great engine to build if you are starting out or need a simple 1 cylinder engine. It actually makes a lot of Torque and Power, I am quite surprised how smooth it is, with 2500 rpm.
