A Short Video on how to become a Dentist

If you want to enter a field where you get to interact with patients without having to do ward visits or see very sick patients, then you should consider becoming a Dentist. Dr. Sabelo Mngomezulu is a homegrown Dentist working at Mosvold Hospital in Ingwavuma. In this video, he talks about the requirements and skills necessary to enter Dentistry. He also shares a little about his background and what he does on a day-to-day basis.
The Umthombo Youth Development Foundation seeks to address the shortages of healthcare staff at rural hospitals through the investment in rural youth. In return for the opportunity given these youth, they are required on graduation to work at a rural hospital for at least the same number of years they were supported for. In this regard, over 385 health science graduates, of which 133 are Doctors have been produced over the last 20 years. In this series of short videos featuring some of our graduates, we endeavour to make school learners aware of health sciences as career options, and encourage them to apply to the National Student Financial Aid Scheme for financial support for their studies.
