Dallas DART Orange Line, Love Link Shuttle, Dallas Love Field Airport DAL to Downtown Dallas, 4K

How to travel from Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) to Downtown Dallas on DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit). This journey starts at Love Field Airport. From the airport, I took a shuttle bus (Love Link) to Inwood/Love Field. At the station, I’ve transferred to DART Orange Line (bound to LBJ/Central) to Downtown Dallas. The total travel time (starting from Love Field Airport to Downtown) is around 40 minutes.

The Love Link Shuttle bus is free to ride. However, arriving at the station, a train ticket must be purchase. I’ve tapped my credit card at the credit card reader (right by the ticket vending machine). Since it is a one way ride, the cost was $3.00. If you want to pay in cash, you can use the ticket vending machine.

Summary Steps to travel to Downtown Dallas from Dallas Love Field Airport:
1) Board a Love Link Shuttle Bus (Route 55)*
2) Exit Inwood/Love Field Airport Station
3) Purchase a train ticket**
4) Go upstairs to the rail platform
5) Board either Green (to Buckner) or Orange Line (LBJ/Central or Parker Road).

Traveling to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW):

Traveling to Fort Worth:
1) During Monday - Saturday, take the Green (to Buckner) or Orange Line (LBJ/Central or Parker Road) to Victory Station. At Victory Station, transfer to Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to Fort Worth. Train arrives every hour. Checkout the ride video from Dallas to Fort Worth:
2) Take the Orange Line (to DFW) and exit at DFW Airport Station. At DFW Airport Station, transfer to Trinity Metro TEXRail to Downtown Fort Worth. TEXRail departs every hour to Fort Worth. Checkout the ride video from DFW Airport to Fort Worth:

Traveling to Denton:
Between Monday-Saturday, take the Green Line (to North Carrollton/Frankford) and exit at Trinity Mills Station. At that station, Transfer to DCTA a-Train to Denton. The train departs to Denton every hour. Checkout the video ride from Trinity Mills to Denton:

Love Link Shuttle Bus (Route 55)
It is a free shuttle bus the travels between Love Field Airport and Inwood/Love Field Station. At the airport, the shuttle makes two stops, Check-In and Baggage Claim.

** Fares
There are three ways to purchase a ticket to board DART.
1) Ticket Vending Machines (cash only; exact change)
2) Credit Card Tap Reader
3) GoPass App for Android or iOS.

As of 2023, it recommended to purchase Morning, Midday, or Afternoon Pass (depending on the time of the day). Those fares cost around $2.00-$2.50. However, if you’re planning to ride DART all day, a Local Day Pass is recommended (cost is $6.00). If going to Fort Worth, a Regional Day Pass must be purchased (cost is $12.00).
