Ilayaraja BGM added life to my films says Mahendran. Heartist chat features the Ace director J. Mahendran Part - 2 exclusively on Bosskey TV. Mahendran is regarded as one of the greatest film makers of Tamil cinema and has inspired many upcoming directors. He made an immediate impact with his first directorial venture Mullum Malarum (1978).

Mahendran entered the film industry as a screenwriter, written scripts for nearly 26 films. He has been an inspiration for the legends of Tamil cinema like Mani Ratnam and Rajinikanth.

His Nenjathai Killathe won three National Film Awards including the award for the best regional film.

Mahendran sir shares about the experience he had in the film Udhiri Pookkal, also he talks about the saddist characters he used in his films. He also shares about the story writing experience he had in Sivaji Ganesan's movie Thangapathakkam.
