24TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) is excited to celebrate its 24th Graduation Ceremony, scheduled to take place on 19th October 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Meru Main Campus Graduation Square. This prestigious event will bring together over 2,000 graduands who will be commissioned in various fields of study, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys.

Chief Guest
The Chief Guest for this year's graduation will be Hon. Moses Masika Wetangula, E.G.H., the Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya. His presence will set the tone for the celebration, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and societal impact as our graduates embark on their next phase of life.

The Theme
The theme for this year’s graduation is, “Embracing Lifelong Learning beyond Graduation for Societal Transformation.” It reflects our commitment to preparing graduates to continuously learn, adapt, and contribute positively to the society long after leaving the university.

Special Highlights
On the eve of the graduation, 18th October 2024, we will have several key events, including:
Installation of the 5th Vice Chancellor: Rev. Prof. John Kobia Ataya will be officially installed as the Vice Chancellor of Kenya Methodist University.
Honoring of the Founders’ Chair: Shall recognize the Founders' enshrined in the monument and establish a founders' day. This ceremonial event will acknowledge and celebrate the visionaries who laid the foundation for KeMU’s success.
Commissioning Service: A commissioning service by The Chancellor and The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church in Kenya, Rev. Isaiah Deye. A full rehearsal will be conducted to ensure all graduands are well-prepared for the big day.
