Bios:
Philip and Stanley have been part of COSMIC since it was started in March, 2020. Dr. Philip Edgcumbe (MD, PhD, BASc) is the co-founder of COSMIC and Mr. Stanley Lee (BASc) is the COSMIC Co-Lead for the public relations, fundraising and outreach teams.

Our mission at COSMIC is to create abundant access to medical equipment in BC and around the world through open source design solutions. COSMIC is a team of over 130 volunteer students, engineers, doctors, makers, and designers from Vancouver and the global community. COSMIC has raised $25,000 in donations and also received $100,000 via the Roche Canada COVID-19 Open Innovation Challenge. Our first priority is to help in the global response to COVID by designing and building low-cost $500 ventilators, respiratory support equipment such as non-invasive positive pressure ventilation helmets and personal protective equipment.
