3I/ATLAS Has TURNED Toward Earth — Russian Astronomers CONFIRM the Worst

Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb suggested that the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS might be capable of performing a gravitational maneuver and changing its trajectory toward Earth. According to the scientist, although all current observations indicate that 3I/ATLAS is a natural comet, the possibility of its artificial origin cannot be completely ruled out. Loeb described such a scenario as a “black swan event” — unlikely, but with potentially enormous consequences for humanity.

Russian astronomer Vladimir Surdin noted that researchers were fortunate to detect 3I/ATLAS as it entered the Solar System. The comet is moving along a shallow trajectory, passing by several planets. On October 3, it approached Mars, where it was recorded by joint Russian and European satellites. Soon it will pass near Venus and then by Earth, though observing it will be difficult due to unfavorable visibility conditions.

According to calculations, the comet’s closest approach to our planet is expected in early November. By the end of December, 3I/ATLAS will leave the boundaries of the Solar System.

In the scientific community, Loeb’s speculations about the comet’s possible artificial origin have been met with irony, although his colleagues recognize his high academic standing and significant contributions to astrophysics.
