There’s been flooding, storms, and high waters in our area so we decided to get out and do some rockhounding at one of our favorite local spots in Oregon. The Nehalem river is located only 45 minutes from Portland and about 30 minutes from where we live at the beach! Agates, crystals, quartz, jaspers and many other pretty gem quality rocks can be found there. Great for all ages to enjoy also!
