This is a great way to build footers for ICF construction. This addition will have a walkout door and is along a plowed driveway so it will need 48" of concrete below grade so the footers will not heave. This is called a step footer or a drop footer. There are other ways to accomplish this but this seems to be a real fast and easy way to do it. This will also allow us to be working at grade level to build our walls instead of having a hole top work around. We will also be able to spray foam one course of Nudura ICF blocks to the footer and pour our floor before doing the walls. I have showed the benefits of that in other videos. This addition will also have radiant heat in the concrete floor. Enjoy
