The song is called ‘Nagar Nandji na Laal,’ which means ‘The Beloved Son of Nanda Maharaj.’
It is sung from the heart of a Gopi, one of Krishna’s most devoted companions - Sri Radha , who recalls a tender moment during the Raas Leela – a moment so full of love and divine play that she even loses her precious nose ring in the ecstasy of dancing with Him.
This song may sound sweet and playful on the surface, but it expresses a profound truth of bhakti – when we are lost in love for Krishna, we forget everything else, even ourselves. That is the power of divine love.
