The Robin Bibi Big Band live at The Tuesday Night Music Club 21st December 2021

The Tuesday Night Music Club Christmas Party... Both Haydn Hart and Ken Jackson wrote great reviews, so here they are:

"The Christmas show at the Tuesday Night Music club is always excitedly looked forward to as one of the highlights of the year, there is dressing up, Christmas hats and crackers, lots to drink and probably dancing as well. There was always a danger that the high rate of Covid infections would put paid to the impending celebrations, but come the night it was a go as the club quickly filled to capacity ready to welcome to the stage Robin Bibi and his big Band. Robin is one of the hardest working musicians on the circuit, he is also one of the most talented. He knows music and he knows musicians and he filled the stage last night with 5 of the best you could find anywhere. I sat in the front row (right in front of the brass section ) wearing a paper Christmas hat and as the music started I could feel the hat start to crackle and move under the onslaught of vibrations from that glorious music which lifts the heart and the spirit. I haven't the writing skills to describe what I was feeling, but if you love music as I do you will already know what I am talking about. Robin is a master of his craft he is a musician but also an entertainer, he climbs tables and chairs and takes his music to the audience, he makes you want to dance and there was plenty of that last night too. There was even a party going on behind the bar with Michelle, Louise and Molly dancing their socks off, such was this bands reach. Helping everyone get in the party mood last night were Craig Bacon and Tony Martin (Drum and Bass) with 3 incredible musicians on Sax and Trumpet. Ross and Martin producing the well balanced sound which despite being loud was wonderful to listen to. I wear hearing aids and I still turned them up to full volume to enjoy that wonderful wall of sound. " - Ken Jackson

"With so much weighing in against this event happening, Richard pulled everything together, pushed on ahead with his plans and kept his fingers crossed. It was touch and go and nerves were frayed, but when the doors opened and a full house piled into this great club, he knew that it had all been worth it. Robin Bibi is everyone’s friend and always puts a great show with his trusty band of Tony ‘family man’ Marten on bass and Craig ‘crispy’ Bacon on drums, but tonight he added a new dimension to the occasion with a brilliant brass section and the result was epic. The packed house was in a festive mood and Robin didn’t disappoint in helping us to celebrate. Christmas is a time for family gatherings and the Tuesday Night Music Club family is no exception. A room filled with friendship, love and music is the norm every Tuesday, but last night there was something just that little bit special. Something that cannot be described.
