Nick Peck - Buchla Explorations Performance | Concert 8-17-24

This is my performance from a concert that featured four performers using Buchla instruments. The show took place at the Coaxial Arts Foundation in Los Angeles on August 17, 2024.

The performance is improvised, but has the benefit of using the Buchla preset manager. This allowed me to program up a series of patches in advance, that I would then tweak and adjust on the fly in the performance. I wanted to explore as many colors from a 9-module Buchla (with delay, looping, and reverb) as I could. These shows (at least for me) demand total concentration - my hands never stopped moving. This allows for a continuously changing and dynamic electronic music performance.
