A walking tour of Couvent (Sainte Marie de La Tourette) by Le Corbusier, at Lyon, France.
This is one of the most famous architectural master pieces by a renowned French architect Le Corbusier.
Couvent is a French word for Convent which refers to a building where sisters & nuns live.
If you are wondering what it looks like, maybe trying to decide whether it's worth a visit, here you are.
Otherwise, this video will be extremely boring for you, and I advise against watching it.
You can make online reservations and stay here over night. They give you a prison-cell-like room which is pretty much preserved from 1953. It's just an old wooden bed and a blanket. Nothing else. No internet, no TV, no fridge, no nothing (which is the point as you are visiting where the nuns lived in 1950s).
There is a shared bathroom and a shower room at the end of the hallway.
Also, there is a big room where you go in to eat dinner, which is just a soup and a piece of bread with some cheese. Basically, you eat like nuns. You share a table with other guests. Mostly elderly retired people from all over Europe who are big fans of Le Corbusier architecture.
