The ultimate Bikepacking adventure from Banff in Canada down to Antelope Wells, New Mexico. Its been on my bucket list for over 10 years, after watching legends like Mike Hall and Lael Wilcox set the fastest known times on the route, now 2024 was my time to attempt this amazing adventure. Even though it's an individual time trail, I got to meet some amazing people along the route. After about 10 days of riding there was a group of us that all seemed to meet up around 6pm each day, usually on a summit where we would be working out where the next resupply or camping spot would be. These riders made this epic adventure all the more enjoyable. We called ourselves the 6PM crew. Cheers to Richard and Phill from NZ and Scott, Zach, M&M, Sam, Liam, Freddy Kruger, Corndog from the USA. Also to Liam [UK] and Dave [US] who I shared a motel with on the 2nd night in Fernie where the TD almost ended for me with hypothermia!
If you ever consider doing this as a race or a tour , my advice is just do it, You will have the time of your life, I know I did!
To those who followed along at home via the event tracker and sent messages of support, THANK YOU, you kept me in front of the Broom wagon, it made all the difference to make it to the finish and under the 28days cut off.
