Good morning. We're kicking off the day with some fresh orange juice before heading to Paris. Funny thing—when we arrived in this neighborhood, we didn't see the Eiffel Tower until we passed through a gate, and there it was! It looks tiny on camera, but trust us, it's a lot closer than it seems.
Once in Paris, we're taking on the challenge of climbing nearly 700 stairs up the Eiffel Tower instead of using the lift. Wish us luck! After that, we’ll check out the Arc de Triomphe (after some hilarious mispronunciations) and take a stroll down the famous Champs-Élysées (which we still can’t pronounce correctly). Let’s see what the shopping district has in store!
After navigating through a mall, we finally made it to the Arc de Triomphe, which is even bigger than expected. The surrounding traffic is pure chaos—no lanes, just vibes. Definitely not a place we’d want to drive!
Next, we explored the Champs-Élysées, where we had a debate over famous brands like Moncler and Saint Laurent. Apparently, some of us (okay, one of us) have never heard of them.
We decided to postpone our Eiffel Tower visit to tomorrow and instead, took a scenic walk along the Seine. Our mission? Find some authentic French food! French onion soup was a must. We ended up at a café where we tried a traditional French onion soup and a Chicken Supreme dish.
Along the way, we spotted what looked like a Banksy piece, but after some quick research, it turned out to be by Hijack Art—still really cool, though! After dinner, we set out to find cheesecake (priorities) before heading to the Pagoda Paris, an amazing red Chinese-inspired building. Sadly, it was closed, but it made for a great photo stop.
Next up, the Moulin Rouge! The streets were packed, and we even took a quick detour through a peaceful Parisian park. Along the way, someone lost their baguettes—yes, an actual pile of abandoned baguettes on the street. Only in Paris!
We wrapped up the night at the Wall of Love, which was crowded with tourists. Fun fact: if you walk just a little further, you can get a great view without the crowds. Pro tip for anyone visiting!
