Finally decided to buy myself a baitcaster and went with this Lew's Mach Pro Combo from Cabela's. Minus the shipping issue in which it arrived broken, I loved it. For my first time throwing a baitcaster I only had 2 backlashes and managed to catch a bunch of fish during it's first outing on Lake Onalaska. Looking forward to it catching many more with this setup!
Let me know any baitcaster tips or advice that I should know! Also I'm curious your opinion on the whole left or right hand retrieve? To me the left hand retrieve is so much easier, so I don't understand why right hand retrieve is more common?
