California Zephyr: Denver to San Francisco

Riding Amtrak’s California Zephyr train from Denver Union Station in Colorado to Emeryville, California and back from January 17th to 21st, 2022. Admiring the spectacular scenery and wildlife from aboard the train through the Colorado Rockies and over the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. Exploring San Fransisco for a full day before boarding the train for the return trip. Taking the San Francisco Bay Ferry from Oakland to San Francisco. Strolling along the piers to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf. Cruising under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz Island. Learning some history in the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park on Hyde Street Pier. Enjoying hot fudge sundaes in the Original Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop on Ghirardelli Square. Tackling the hills of San Francisco aboard the historic cable cars. Walking down Lombard Street. Wandering the streets of Chinatown.
