Wild Camping at The Castle That Gets Cut Off By The Ocean

Join me for an unforgettable wild camping adventure as I spend the night on the tidal island of Castle Tioram in the Scottish Highlands. This stunning, remote location becomes completely cut off from the mainland when the tide comes in, making for an epic, and slightly nerve-wracking, overnight camp.

In this video, I give you a full tour of the island and the incredible abandoned castle ruins with some drone shots before I set up my tent. We'll explore the ancient stonework, talk about the history of the castle, and try to find a way inside. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the feeling of being completely isolated is amazing.

Things don't go exactly to plan, however. We get the tide timings wrong and have to wade through the water to leave in the morning. I also lose my aeropress cup to the tide and have to improvise with a makeshift solution. Along the way, I share stories from my previous days' travels, including a visit to the eerie Castle Duntrune (the inspiration for the Skyfall mansion) and an abandoned manor house.
