Building a forged MX5 motor in 5 minutes
This is a time-lapse of all the work that was put into building a fully forged engine for our project Miata. This build included Wiseco pistons, Manley rods, ARP studs, ACL race bearings, a Boundary Engineering oil pump and much more. Leroy Engineering in Chardon Ohio put this together for me and man, do they know their stuff. The build went without a hitch and I can't wait to slap this puppy in and start working on the turbo install. This engine is rated at 500 hp so it should have no trouble handling the 300 or so whp that I am planning on putting through it.
