今回は広島県広島市にあります広島市植物公園内の大温室と熱帯スイレン温室の紹介です。

大温室
この大温室は、間口35ｍ、奥行62ｍ、高さ21ｍの総ガラス張りで、中四国最大級の規模です。完成が昭和50年（平成30年3月3日リニューアル）、この年に植えられたココヤシ類は天井近くまで届いています。

室内は、熱帯・亜熱帯の約700品種、5000本の植物を現地の状況を再現しながら、分類、形態、利用の面から各コーナーに分けて展示しています。新設した空中デッキはバリアフリーに対応しており、様々な角度から植物を観察いただけます。
This large greenhouse is 35 meters wide, 62 meters deep, and 21 meters high, and is entirely made of glass, making it one of the largest in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. Completed in 1975 (renovated on March 3, 2018), the coconut palms planted that year reach almost to the ceiling.

Inside, approximately 700 varieties of tropical and subtropical plants, totaling 5,000 plants, are displayed in various sections based on classification, form, and use, while recreating their natural habitats. The newly constructed aerial deck is barrier-free, allowing visitors to observe the plants from various angles.
