Pontiac Prep for 2023! Pulling Transmissions TH350 and TH400 for Rebuild!

Well it's winter season here in Central Ohio, despite the fact that its currently 60 degrees outside so it's the best time of year to rebuild! In order to put ourselves in as good a position as possible for the 2023 fun season to arrive it's time to pull some transmissions for refresh then a quick trip to Vicker's Performance Transmissions!

So what are we working on? First up we have our green 1971 Pontiac LeMans Sport, unfortunately last year the engine went through a pretty bad over heat and we've had a bit of a slipping transmission problem for a while so now is the best possible time. That particular car is powered by a Pontiac 350 V8 and backed up with the original Pontiac TH350 transmission with electronic lock up converter. It still runs and does what it should but we want it fresh and ready.

Second up for surgery in the shop is Kerry's 1967 Pontiac GTO which we rescued about a year ago from automotive purgatory. Unfortunately while sitting for a decade plus a few issues developed, one of which being the brakes locked up, the other being almost no fluid IN the transmission. After some hooliganism and shenanigans through the summer and fall it's time to get the TH400 out of his GTO and ready for a rebuild. With a very healthy Pontiac 400 under the hood that transmission is likely going to be looking for some upgrades before going back in the chassis.
