A Winter Escape to OTARU | Train from Sapporo, Snowy Canal, Snoopy Village & Street Food

Hi everyone 👋🏻

In this video I will take you to a day trip to Otaru. From Sapporo we will take rapid train. It will be a 30 minutes train ride.

The first place we will visit in Otaru is Otaru Canal. But we will have a short visit to LeTAO, a famous dessert shop originally from Otaru.
A famous warehouse lined up along Otaru Canal, now it converted into museums, cafes, restaurants. It’s also popular destination in Otaru.

We will see a bit of former Temiya Line, one of the first railways line in Hokkaido. It should be has a good view if the railway tract don’t covered by the snow⛄️ .

From Minami Otaru Station 🚉 ❄️, we will visit Sakaimachi street, the famous tourist spot in Otaru. There are a lot of nostalgic buildings along the street. In this street we can see Steam Clock, which can puff every 15 minutes.
There is also LeTAO first shop in this street.

We will visit music box museum. I like the atmosphere inside this museum. It’s so peaceful like in a dream.
Snoopy Village also in this street. The building has two shops, Snoopy Chocolat on the second floor dan Snoopy Cha-ya on the first floor.

For the street food 🍡🍣, we will try sweet potato. It tastes so good especially if we it in the winter.
The must try food in Otaru is Melon Ice Cream. Unless the price is quite expensive but it tastes so good. Then the last one is croquette.

Before going back to Sapporo we will stop a bit at Asari Station to enjoy the view there.

For dinner, we will have salmon and beef set rice and tartar sauce chicken at Yoshinoya. It tastes so good and cheap.
