Hello guys,
After reaching Kochi, I have time to spend somewhere before boarding the train to Ahmedabad. So, I decided on this unique Kava Island. Local people believe that the first monsoon clouds formed from here, and that is one thing I found fascinating about going there and camping overnight.
The gateway of rains to Kerala, Kava at Malampuzha in Palakkad district, is one of the best spots in the state to chase the monsoon amid a perfect background of hills, trees and reservoir. Located behind Malampuzha Dam and host to numerous trekking trails, Kava is also a sought-after place for shutterbugs to capture the splendid sunset in vivid hues. The forest en route to Kava village is home to rare flora and fauna.
