Stop-Motion Transformation of New Age S-01 Romulus. Magnificent! I love all the little “barely fits” moments, like how the feet fit into the legs. I would love to see more figures from them in this standard Hasbro retail scale, but they need to be careful about stepping on Hasbro’s toes. In this case they probably felt they would get away with it since there is no way Hasbro would ever make a handgun Megatron.

Production Note: If you look closely, you will see a few glimpses of my clamp when the gun is upside-down (during the leg sequence). It’s grey and black too, so I didn’t worry about editing it out. Also my favorite song “Demise” was just a second too short, so I stretched it with the Rate Stretch tool and it worked fine! I suspect that put the whole song’s pitch down by like an 8th of a step.

Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
