This is the primary way we hand our lock on stands. If we are putting them in a pine tree, I like to use a strap on tree step so as not to put holes in the tree and have sap dripping all over me and the stand. I hope this helps a few of you with your hunting efforts.
I would like to add that in addition to what you saw, we have also been including a life line harness to every one of our stands starting this year. Be safe out there and enjoy your time afield.
