From skeptic to believer: As a former bike shop owner, I always avoided what I called "cheap Chinese carbon wheels."
Now, I'm unboxing and giving my honest first impressions of the *Superteam 38 SLS Gravel Wheels* (38mm deep, ~1500g). For around $450-$500, I wanted to see if they could hold up to the demands of my old race bike (a Trek Checkpoint) which I'm preparing to take to Europe for both road and gravel adventures.

The wheels delivered an immediate performance boost in acceleration and overall speed, shaving off about 2 lbs from the stock wheelset. The 38-tooth ratchet-style hub and the UCI-approved carbon construction make these a serious contender for riders who need performance on a budget.
