"United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was formed on 24th November, 1964 with a Central Committee comprising of 7 members in which Shri Kalalung Kamei, a Kabui Naga; Shri Thankhopao Singsit, a Thadou from Kuki communities and Shri Arambam Samarendra, a Meitei, shouldered the responsibilities of President, Vice-president and General Secretary respectively, showing common nationalistic spirit for MANIPUR.
