Drone video: Large boat fire on Lake Union in Seattle

Video from the KOMO 4 Drone shows a large plume of black smoke rising from a 40-foot boat that caught fire at a marina on Lake Union Wednesday.

The Seattle Fire Department first posted about the 2-alarm fire on the 2100 block of Westlake Avenue North just before 4:30 p.m. The 40-foot boat was moored at the time, and the roof of the marina also caught fire.

Harbor Patrol responded to the scene to put the fire out. Seattle Fire said the 40-foot vessel was “submerged” about 40 minutes after the fire was first reported.
