#Cold_desert_of_Skardu was worth spending an evening, infact to make beautiful evening even more beautiful, we decided to spend a few hours in the cold desert of Skardu. This desert lies at 33 km distance from main city Skardu at left side of river Indus. After crossing the Indus bridge, the cold desert starts and jeep took us to the sand dunes high enough to enjoy a climb up bare foot. Climbing up the dunes was very difficult because of slipping on the sand. I stepped forward while the sand took me backwards :) and soon I realized that there was no other option except to run on the sand and climb up quickly.
This cold desert is entirely different from the scorching hot desert of Rahim yar Khan and is surrounded by snow clad mountains of Karakuram and Himalayas with a pleasant weather in summer and cold weather in winters.
It was really a nice singing experience while climbing down the dunes.
