Honda Civic A/C Condenser & Accumulator Replacement, Evacuation, & Recharge

This video will show you how to replace the (leaking) condenser and a accumulator on a 2005 Honda Civic. The accumulator is being replacement since this ac system has been open to outside air for too long which ruins the desiccate moisture absorbent crystals. The front bumper fascia must be removed to gain access to the condenser. With the bumper removed, the driver's side headlight can be removed to obtain a service path to the accumulator. After the new parts have been installed, 3 oz of PAG 46 oil is added to the system to compensate for both the lost compressor oil from the leak and the replacement of the accumulator. Both the low and high pressure service port schrader valves have been replaced followed by an a/c evacuation and refrigerant charge.
